    Remember to take any removeable or control systems off of your wheelchair prior to getting on the plane.

    Take the equipment with you on the plane as a carry-on. Read up on the Air Carrier Access Act before traveling and know your rights by reviewing DOT’s Airline Passengers with Disabilities Bill of Rights. If you experience any damage to your chair while the airline has it in their possession, document it and file an incident with the airline immediately.
